History Of Your Character: Being over Six Hundred years old has it’s benefits and downfalls. Bear has seen the rise and fall of great leaders and tyrants, moving from England shortly after his 18th birthday when he first shifted. His father had to subdue him and wounded him greatly in the fight to keep Bear from attacking the village they were part of out of instinct and hunger.
The wound didn’t leave a physical scar because of his age and healing ability. But it did leave a mental scar, from that point Bear has always feared losing control of himself. In his early years he would lock himself away in a cave on nights he knew he had to change, sometimes for weeks at a time, unsure of exactly when he would be shifting. After about a hundred years, Bear left his fathers pack and ventured out on his own, dodging extremists that knew about shifters and finding himself fighting in various wars.
Bear spent over 50 years alone, exploring himself and who and what he was before finally going to start a family of his own. By the time he was 300, he had a family and a Den of his own. His family lived together, happily hunting animals and bartering for other needs while living off of the land, for over one hundred years. In this time, Bear learned how to smith as a trade, selling his wares in markets to wealthy families and warriors.
In the mid 18th century, Bear ended up back in London with his pack family. They lived there peacefully for a few years until a Non-Human Hunter group found him and his family. After a long battle that seriously wounded Bear, his family was killed, leaving him alone once again, this time, not by choice. After healing up a bit, leaving a scar on his back from the fight, Bear moved to the Colonies, just in time to be forced into the revolutionary war. His brutality, ruthlessness, healing capabilities and his lack of fear made him a dominant force on the battlefield, tearing through English soldiers during the guerilla assaults. After the war, Bear survived the Civil War and multiple hunts for Non-Humans. Eventually, he moved to New York where fellow Non-Humans flocked to his prowess in a fight and informed him of The Kindred. It wasn’t until the 20th century when Bear joined up with The Kindred, eventually becoming the Den Master of his Pack.

Sample RP:
”Hey! What are you doing over there? Get out of here!” A young man sprints out of what looks like an occult shop, arms full of goods from the shop. “Hey! Stop him! Thief!” The man moves through the busy streets of Brooklyn New York, bumping into various pedestrians and almost getting hit by a car as he sprints across the busy street. This doesn’t change very much in New York, people keep about their business and cars keep moving.
After a few minutes of sprinting, arms full of small bottles and shiney objects. The man stops in an alley to examine his bounty, a few spices and oils for various “spells” a few silver lined knives. These weapons don’t look too serious, mostly hand crafted items made of a weak metal and painted with a Silver paint. With a sigh and heavy panting the man gathers his goods and starts off down the alley, only to bump into a monster of a man.
“What are you doing pup? Didn’t I tell you to stay out of that shop? We have a deal with the owner to leave him alone if he leaves us alone.” The man glares down and the young thief disappointingly, his clothing almost as menacing as his size. The monster wore a long simple, black duster, black slacks and a blue button up shirt. His long brown hair tight against the top of his head and pulled into a pony tail.
“But.. Bear, I just… I needed this stuff, I’m still trying to learn how to use the Aard. Billy told me that these would help me to do the spell.” The young thief looked down at his feet as he spoke softly to the giant.
“Billy told you these would help you? I’ll have a talk with Billy, you need to stop trusting what he says. He’s just hazing you. You need to learn that ability on your own, the only thing that will help you is focus. Give me that stuff.” His piercing blue-green eyes almost staring through the young man with intent.
“But.. Bear..” The thief kicked a can away from him with a clink upon impact. “Okay…” He held out his arms, full of the bounty only to have Bear scoop the items out of his grasp with a quick ease.
“Now go home.” Bear turned and moved around the young thief with a step before the boy took off quicker than he had arrived. Quietly and with determination, Bear moved down the street and towards the shop where the goods were removed from. As he entered through a door with the word “Sanctuary” in big letters on it, he looked at the shop owner with a sigh and a nod. “Sorry about this Frank. I’m still trying to teach the kid. Here’s your stuff.”
“It’s alright Bear, I understand, just keep those kids of yours in line. The more they steal from me, the less I’ll be able to stay in business and supply you with the information you request.” The tall thin shop keeper came our from behind the counter and took the goods from Bear, setting them on the counter before turning to look Bear in the eye with a crick in his neck. “No harm done, thanks for returning this stuff.” With a stroke of his long grey beard, the man turned and went behind the counter.
“Be well, my friend.” Bear nodded and left the shop before heading back to the alley where he first ran into the pup, his long trench coat flowing behind him.
