"Lizz... Am I in danger?"
Kain realizes the true threat they're in. If what Elizabeth says is true, he's put a lot of people in danger. What if he's being used to track people and kill them? How many lives has he cost just by his existence and attachment to Vikrcop.
"I still don't understand this whole Inquisition, Kindred, Vikrcop... What kind of world have I stepped into? I appreciate your help, Lizz but at what cost is it to you to be housing me? I don't want to hurt you. You're the first decent person I've met since turning, and I really don't want to be any kind of burden on you."
Kain slumps down, head in his hands. For the first time it is not anger he is feeling. It's dread. Fear. He is afraid of what he has gotten involved with... Who he has gotten involved with.
"If this Vikrcop is as dangerous as you say he is... What can possibly be done? What can Adalrich or this Kindred do? How do you know none of them are under this guys influence? I'm afraid, Lizz. Afraid of what I have caused. I already have my brother's death on my conscience, I don't want any more lives. Not innocent ones at least. If you need me to, I will leave. I will run as far away as possible to get Vikrcop away from you and the innocent people of New York. I've been alone this far, if protecting more people like my brother means I have to continue on... Lizz, I will do it."

“Yes Kain, we’re all in danger.”
The Dancing Vamp reaches for her companion, slender digits ensnaring his wrist and jerking him up from the bed, “We kill him, before he kills us. Adalrich is a powerful man and The Kindred is full of Non-humans of the same mindset… We all just want to live here in peace and protect the place we’ve come to call home… And I would trust every single one of them with my life. It’s too late, you can’t leave now Kain, and don’t blame yourself for me getting involved… That was my fault and I do not regret it.”
Elizabeth gently jerks her cohort out of the bedroom and into the front room again. She stops there, giving him an apologetic smile and releasing her hold on his arm, Sorry for dragging you around. We’re going to go wake Adalrich up, he sleeps in a little room behind the bar, and set up a meeting with the minds of The Kindred. If you don’t want to hurt me, then you’ll help me with this. I know you’re reluctant to get involved with The Kindred, but this is what’s best for you; trust me.

"Did I... Cause this? Did I bring Vikrcop here?"
He follows at the voluptuous green haired Vampire, annoyed he is being dragged around again.
"I really wish you would stop doing that. I am capable of walking on my own."
Kain listens as Lizz talks him through what should really be done for him. He hates the idea of having a group to help him deal with Vikrcop, his creator, but understands now it's necessity.
"If this Vikrcop Coffinterror is as big of a threat to me... Us. What makes you think a group of weaker Kindred is going to help anything? You made Vikrcop seem nearly invincible. If he is half that dangerous, there is no hope."
Knightlord takes a moment, placing his hand against his head. Am I even sure about this? Should I join up with the Kindred? Right now, it doesn't sound like such a bad idea.
"Fine. I'll join with this Kindred group of yours. Let's go talk to Adalrich about it."

She places her pointer finger against her chin, nibbling on her lower lip and pondering his question momentarily. It's possible... But I doubt it. “it’s highly unlikely that you brought him here… Or maybe you did, but you can’t blame someone else’s actions on yourself… It’s not your fault Kain. I do think that he’s been here for a while though and we never would have known if not for you; you did good.”
The dancer scoops up her things and heads for the front door, occasionally glancing back at her companion to be sure he is following her. I hope he doesn’t suddenly change his mind and decide to run off, we can’t afford for Vikrcop to get his hands on him after I’ve told him the location of The Kindred’s headquarters. She opens the door and waits for the young Vampire to walk through its open mouth, following after him before closing and locking it behind them. Elizabeth stuffs the keys back into her purse and gives Kain a pleasant smile, “weak? The Kindred is full of powerful Non-humans, with various skills, The Bat may be a huge threat, but our combined power should be enough to snuff him out; there’s always hope.”
She starts to walk down the street, the same way they had come earlier that night, her emerald tresses dancing on the breeze “I’m glad you finally decided to come around.”

"If you say that having an army like the Kindred behind me will help deal with my Maker, than who am I to refuse?"
Kain walks down the street with Lizz, recognizing some concern. Believing what he thinks it means rests his hand on Lizz's shoulder.
"No need to worry. I hate my Maker too much. He can try and force me to do whatever he wants, but I would much rather kill him than team up with him."
Knightlord rests his hand on his knife, gripping it tightly for a moment. Such wishful thinking. If Vikrcop is truly this powerful, I could be running these people to their doom.
"How will Adalrich greet me now, after my outburst in the bar and now learning who I am connected to? Should I really join you inside? What if he chooses it's better to kill me than welcome me."

"That’s the spirit Kain! Go team!” Beth cups her hand over her mouth and giggles, her mood brightening at the prospect of her friend accepting his new life. The green haired Vampiress wraps her arm around her companion’s waist and gives him a reassuring smile, “Adalrich may be a bit ostentatious, but he’s a sweet heart… It may take a bit of explaining, and apologizing on your part for your rash behavior, but he forgives easily enough. Once you’ve experienced the kinds of things he’s experienced, silly misunderstandings hold little validity. You should most definitely join me inside, if anything he’ll find your initiative to resolve the issue between you endearing.”
Elizabeth’s grin widens and she nuzzles Kain’s neck, “I know you wouldn’t join him, you’d kill him... Or die trying, but now the chances of your encounter with Vikrcop ending in death have been greatly lowered, perhaps it was fate that we ran into each other tonight.”
They finally close in on the bar and she glances at her cohort, “ready?”
Laughing melodiously at her companion's response the warrior dancer slides her key into the lock, twisting the knob and stepping through its open mouth, “he’s probably asleep in the back, would you prefer that I wake him?”

"You misunderstand. What lies before me after Vikrcop's death is a matter of question. I can not guarantee I won't commit suicide after in order to be with my brother again. But I will make sure to take Vikrcop's head with me before I go."
Kain looks at the entrance to the building he left just mere hours ago. A chill runs down his spine at the thought of what he is preparing to do. What if Vikrcop is watching me right now?
"Lizz... You said earlier that me and Vikrcop are connected. What if he's using that connection right now? I'm inexperienced enough I wouldn't be able to tell what is going on. You really trust me to come in to where the Kindred hide away right now, not knowing?"
As Lizz unlocks the door, shakes his head. His worries could be too unfounded, and he is just over analyzing what is going on.
"I'm not waking him up."

She frowns deeply at her companion, “honestly Kain… You know, I am done trying to talk sense into you, perhaps you’ll learn that you don’t get to make that decision and there is a plan for you... You're not finished here yet.”
The warrior dancer watches as the apprehension spreads across his body like a dark cloud, sucking her bottom lip into her mouth and chewing on the flesh. She places her hand on his shoulder in an attempt to quell his fears. Elizabeth sighs heavily, desperate to fill him with the same thirst for life and desire for the greater good that drove her. She continues to smile and replies in a sweet soothing tone, “it’s not as if he can see through your eyes with your connection, he can feel you and call to you. I am more than happy to bring you into Soul Haven, because on the outside it looks like I am bringing you into some abandoned warehouse. It’s going to be Fine Kain, we all have a connection with the energy in this world, as well as the energy others give off… This connection allows us to sense when someone extremely powerful, like Coffinterror, is close. He’s not here now, trust me.” She chuckles lightly, “Alright, I won’t make you wake him, I suppose it would be less jarring to be woken by someone you’re familiar with.”
The empty club is reminiscent of a carcass picked clean and every sound they make echoes throughout its confines. Elizabeth stuffs the keys back into her purse, slipping behind the bar whilst motioning for Kain to stay and take a seat in one of the stools. The Vampiress opens the door without a noise and disappears through its open mouth in a blur. A few seconds go by without a noise, when suddenly the groggy voice of Adalrich breaks the silence, “did you come for a midnight snack?”
Girlish laughter flutters out of the darkness, “no, you’re incorrigible,” she chortles lightly again, “I brought somebody who has something to say to you.”
“Tell them to come back in the morning.”
“Adalrich, it’s important, it has to do with Kindred business.”
“Fine.”
The Kindred members appear in the door way, Addie wearing a fluffy pink sleeping mask pushing his long brown hair back and a pair of pink and white hello kitty boxers on, “this better be good,” he rubs the slumber from his eyes and when he sees Kain at the bar his mood immediately darkens, “you.”

"I'm sorry you don't see this life the way I do. If you saw the horror in my parents eyes, you'd understand. Maybe one day I'll see it your way. "
He follows Lizz into the establishment once again, uncomfortable as the first time. He takes a seat and pulls out his bat shaped knife once again, he checks the blade and twirls it amidst his fingers. What if he doesn't believe me? I'm sure he's going to just enjoy seeing me back. Kain looks up as Adalrich comes out, coldly addressing him.
"Yeah, I'm no more pleased about this than you are."
Frustrated by the rather cold reception, Kain gets up and heads towards the door.
"I knew this was a bad idea. Lizz, you know the story. You don't need me here. I'll be outside when you two figure out a plan."

Elizabeth scoffs in disbelief as her moody companion reacts poorly to Adalrich’s grumpy disposition, what did he expect? I just woke him, he probably only went to sleep an hour ago. The ever patient Vampiress chases after her friend, wrapping her digits around his wrist and tugging him away from the door, “would you please stop making me chase you Kain, he’s just groggy, if you speak with him… Everything will be fine. If we’re going to work together, the two of you need to learn how to get along.”
With a reassuring smile she pulls the young Vampire back to the bar. Meanwhile, Adalrich goes to work making the three of them something to drink; a fruity cocktail for the Changeling and two glasses of spiced blood for the Vamps. He devours his beverage and gives Elizabeth a stern expression, “what is this all about, did you bring him back just to apologize?” his gaze shifts to her companion, “if so, don’t worry about it Sir, everything’s fine between us; I hold no ill will toward you. However, I am still standing by my decision to ban you from this establishment-“
“ADALRICH! Behave yourself. He has something very important to tell you and I am interested in putting forth the motion that he joins The Kindred. He’s just an injured soul, he means no harm to any agent for good, he only means to destroy the evil he’s seen in the world,” even if… he deems that evil to be himself, “He’s a good person Addie, just misunderstood… And he’s come here not only to settle the misunderstanding between the two of you, but also to provide vital information to The Kindred.”
The eerily handsome fairest rolls his neck and sighs, “you’re right Beth, I’m sorry, and Kain… I am sorry to you too… I shouldn’t have been so cold toward you. Soul Haven is about offering a safe place for people like you to go… You’ve been through some major trauma recently, I can see it in your eyes, and I should have been more gentle with you. Will you forgive me for my indiscretions?”
Adalrich reaches under the bar, producing a plethora of bottles, and throws together another drink for himself, “so what intel have you brought for me?”

Kain growls at Adalrich for his comments.
"I'm not too happy about this either."
When Kain hears the apology, he growls a little than accepts what Lizz is trying to accomplish here.
"I'm... Sorry as well. Apparently the intel I have scared Lizz rather well... Hopefully you'll have some more answers for me."
Kain takes a moment. He's already had to relive that once already with Lizz, repeating it sends shiver down his spine.
"How does... The Bat strike you?"

The fairest scoffs aloud, not nearly as patient as the female vampire, finding Kain’s behavior rather immature and unnerving. He purrs mockingly as another growl gurgles from the young sanguinist’s chest and bats his eye lashes at Kain, “I don’t believe you are sorry, but that’s okay, I still forgive you… Being a new Vampire can be hard, not being able to control your emotions or hunger and well… Some resentment has a tendency to hold on for a couple of decades.”
Mean while, Elizabeth crosses her arms over her chest, growing exhausted with the two men’s behavior, “Adalrich… Kain... Please, let’s be serious and focus.”
Adalrich chuckles as he watches the young vampire twitch with irritation and waves off Beth’s warning stare, “Anywho, if it scared Beth it could something as simple as an awkward silence, “ the club owner laughs and pokes his friend in the side. Elizabeth squeaks in surprise and bats his hand away, but the light mood is cut short when he hears Kain’s next sentence and all the color drains from the changeling’s face.
“The Bat?... You couldn’t possibly-“
Elizabeth gives the booze peddler a solemn expression, “yes, he is Addie. Vikrcop.”
Addie slumps onto the bar with his head in his hands, “Mother fu-Not much is known about this monster… One of the first Vampires, a tyrannical ruler whom killed and tortured his people… He’s more than your run of the mill Bloodsucker, he can shift into a bat form and can easily tear a young vampire such as yourself limb from limb. He’s not really picky on who he eats either, human and Non-human alike serve as sustenance for this abomination.”
Taking a deep breath the changeling gazes upon his sister in arms, “contact Lucas, I hear he’s back in the area. We’ll get everyone together, “ his sleep deprived orbs dart toward Elizbaeth’s companion, “we’ll discuss making him a member once we’ve got the band together.”

When he sees Adalrich's reaction to his comment about Vikrcop Coffinterror, frustration crosses his face. All he's heard is about how dangerous he is and how he's one of the first, but nothing much more.
"Can someone fill me in here? I mean, ever since I've brought up that Vikrcop is my Maker, all I've gotten is terrified looks and "we need to talk to this person". Can someone talk to me? Tell ME what is going on? Who Vikrcop is? What he has to do with me? Why the hell everyone is so terrified of him? I want some answers. Lizz said you could provide some."
Kain stands to his feet, and kicks a stool in a show of frustration with how he is being treated.
"I've seen a lot of stuff since I've become a vampire, and I just want to understand who I am. If you guys won't give me that answer, maybe Vikrcop will be more understanding to my plight, seeing as you say he's the first of our kind, I'm sure he'd have some answers for me. So I'm going to make this clear, you don't tell me what the hell is going on here, I will go find him."
Kain's blood red orbs glare a hole into both Lizz and Adalrich, his frustration driving him crazy.
"If he is the first, wouldn't there be others just like him? Wouldn't you guys be friends or something?"

Adalrich mixes another dizzying concoction, ignoring Kain’s outburst, and downs the alcoholic beverage in one voracious gulp. Mean While, Elizabeth gasps in surprise at her new friend’s behavior, going to place a comforting hand on his shoulder, but flinching away as another loud noise assaults her eardrums, “honestly boys!”
The owner of the establishment slams the glass on the counter once he’s emptied it of it’s contents and returns the young vampire’s icy glare, “no, you fool, we wouldn’t be friends with him. He’s an evil mother fucker with an affinity for murder, he’s not exactly Kindred material. It’s about time you get it through your thick little skull that not all Non-human’s are baddies, some of us prefer to live a morally righteous path, despite what you may think of our ‘nature’.”
Beth waves her hands between the two men staring daggers at one another, “please, let’s try to be civil, we’re all on the same side after all.”
Addie gives her a look as if to say ‘that has yet to be determined’ and returns his gaze to Kain, “I’ve told you everything I know about Coffinterror, he may not want anything to do with you, we honestly don’t know. How am I supposed to know what kinds of evil little plots frolic through that sick fucks head? I can tell you we’re terrified of him, because he’s a powerful agent for darkness, and the reason I want to bring everyone together is to figure out if anybody has any information on his where abouts and if he has any allegiances in the area. It’s quite possible he’s aligned himself with The Order, but I can’t be sure.”
The eerily handsome changeling saunters out from behind the bar and scoops up the discarded seat, “And if you want to join him, find him, and possibly be torn apart by him… That’s your business… However, if you leave and seek him out, know there will never be a place for you amongst The Kindred again. This is a onetime offer.”
Wanting to give the young sanguinist a moment to absorb his last statement he turns his attention to his employee, “and as for you… What are you still doing here? We don’t know how long Lucas will be in the area, you and I both know he’s a wanderer with his own agenda. Get going, now.”
The green haired woman flinches at the harshness of Adalrich’s tone, but offers no protest and turns to Kain, “please…. Don’t make any rash decisions, I will be very disappointed to return and find that you’ve left us.”
With misty eyes she throws her arms around his shoulders and hugs the younger vampire tenderly, “I’ll see you again soon, I hope.”

"You've got some wonderful ways of handling people. You treat them like shit, and expect them to jump through hoops for you?"
Kain growls and runs his hand through his hair, frustrated at the way he is being treated by Adalrich.
"I'll be honest with you, you stupid bastard, I don't what I'm going to do. But I know for damn sure that this little teepee party isn't going to figure anything out. While you sit there in your little circle having your little group therapy session, Vikrcop is out there destroying more lives. For people who want to live a "Morally Righteous Path" you certainly don't mind throwing away a few innocent lives to make sure your ass is safe!"
Kain begins to storm out of the bar when Lizz grabs him and asks him not to do anything rash.
"I'm trying not to. But little faerie over there thinks it's a good time to sit and chat instead of tracking down Vikrcop. How am I supposed to not be frustrated?!"
Kain storms off into a dark corner of the room, glaring daggers at Adalrich.
"How long do you want me to wait?"
